Japanese company X-PLUS Co., Ltd. (株式会社エクスプラス) has announced a new "Ultraman" themed product: the "Ultraman (A-Type)" Non-Scale Plastic Model Kit. It will retail for 6,930 JPY and is slated for release in October 2026.

In the original 1966 "Ultraman" series, the first iconic suit, used in episodes 1 through 13, was crafted from a special latex material. This gave it distinct wrinkles and an uneven texture around the eyes, along with asymmetrical eyes and body patterns on the mask. This unique, handmade aesthetic from the early production days later became known as the "A-Type," affectionately nicknamed the "Acid Face" by fans.

This "Ultraman (A-Type)" Non-Scale Plastic Model Kit stands approximately 18 cm tall upon completion. It perfectly captures Ultraman in a tense standoff, cautiously gauging the distance against an unseen monster. The intricate sculpting faithfully reproduces the A-Type's asymmetrical facial features, including the distinct handmade indentations. The base is cleverly designed with forced perspective to create a miniature cityscape diorama, complete with the classic "Ultraman" logo prominently displayed at the front. As an unassembled and unpainted model kit, collectors can unleash their creativity and personalize their own iconic Ultraman with a custom paint job!
