"Crystal Lake" is written and showrun by Bryan Fuller, known for his work on "Hannibal." The series centers on Pamela Voorhees, the infamous killer Jason's mother, with Linda Cardellini cast in the lead role.
The official synopsis reveals that Pamela is still grappling with the profound loss of her frail young son, Jason, who tragically drowned in the town lake nearly a year prior. When two strangers arrive at Pamela's home, attempting to uncover her past, a series of horrifying events begins to unfold, leaving the residents of Crystal Lake to question: Who exactly is Pamela Voorhees?
