Bandai's Gashapon division is set to release a new line of capsule toys based on the classic anime "Ranma ½" – the "Ranma ½ Marker Charms." Each capsule will retail for 400 JPY, with an anticipated release in late October 2026!
"Ranma ½" is a beloved manga series by Rumiko Takahashi, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from 1987 to 1996. It was first adapted into a TV anime by STUDIO DEEN in 1989, and more recently received a second anime adaptation by MAPPA in 2024. The story follows the hilarious daily life of protagonist Ranma Saotome, who, after falling into cursed springs during training, transforms between male and female forms depending on water temperature.
The Marker Charm series features a rubber ring attached to each charm, allowing you to easily mark items like umbrellas or water bottles and prevent mix-ups! This "Ranma ½ Marker Charms" collection brings popular characters from the series to life in an adorable, three-dimensional style. The lineup includes six types: Saotome Ranma (male), Akane Tendo, Shampoo, Ranma (female), Genma (Panda), and P-chan (Ryoga Hibiki as a small black pig).
