Danish toy brand LEGO has officially announced the release of the "11386 SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom" set, slated for official release on September 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $219.99 USD and a total of 1,794 bricks.
"SpongeBob SquarePants" is a classic American animated cartoon from Nickelodeon, a Paramount subsidiary, which first aired in 1999 and continues to this day. Starring SpongeBob and his distinct group of friends living in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom, its lighthearted and humorous style has garnered immense popularity among audiences of all ages worldwide. Having aired for over 25 years, it stands as one of the longest-running and most influential animated series in cartoon history.
The original LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants series first launched in 2009 and officially concluded in 2012. This return, 14 years later, in the form of a brand-new Icons series, is undoubtedly the most anticipated news for long-time fans.
This new set centers around "Bikini Bottom" as its core scene, featuring three iconic buildings: SpongeBob's Pineapple House, Squidward's Easter Island Head House, and Patrick's Rock. Also included are a Jellyfish Fields scene with jellyfish, the Bikini Bottom sign, the Bubbles 25¢ stand, and SpongeBob's boat. These elements can be arranged side-by-side to recreate a complete panoramic view of Bikini Bottom. The set comes with minifigures of SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Gary the Snail, and Sandy Cheeks.
