Sentinel, the Japanese company known for its "Fighting Armor" (ファイティングアーマー) action figure series that reinterprets various Marvel heroes with armored designs, has announced a new release: the "Hulkbuster (Black Limited Edition)" action figure. This imposing collectible is priced at 27,000 JPY and is slated for release in July 2026.
The "Fighting Armor" series operates on the intriguing concept of "What if Tony Stark integrated the abilities of other Avengers into his Iron Man power suits?" This unique vision is brought to life by the collaborative efforts of renowned designer Kazunari Okami and sculptor Hiroyuki Komatsubara, who craft distinctive armored designs for popular characters across the Marvel Comics universe.
This new Black Limited Edition utilizes the same impressive mold as the previous Hulkbuster, which stood at approximately 26 cm tall, making it the largest in the series. The figure now features a striking glossy black and metallic gold paint scheme across its entire body, exuding a luxurious and weighty presence. The internal frame and joints are generously constructed with die-cast alloy parts, providing a satisfyingly heavy feel during handling while ensuring excellent stability for display.
The chest reactor is rendered with transparent parts, and opening the chest armor hatch reveals Iron Man himself inside! Its massive fists boast fully articulated fingers, allowing for a wide range of dynamic combat poses. Furthermore, missile launchers can be attached to the various 3mm expansion ports located across the figure's body using mini joint parts. These launchers can even be utilized by other heroes in the Fighting Armor series, enhancing their collective firepower.
