Danish toy brand LEGO has officially unveiled the latest addition to its NINJAGO series, the "71871 Battle at the Dragon's Blade" set. This new release is slated for an August 1, 2026 launch, priced at $99.99 USD, and comprises 1,016 bricks.
The set draws its theme from the latest NINJAGO storyline, "Duskfall," depicting a tense showdown between a dragon and an Oni Warrior mech on a colossal dragon skull impaled with katanas. The sheer design of this battle arena alone is enough to excite any NINJAGO fan.
Both the dragon and the Oni Warrior mech feature articulated joints, allowing for flexible adjustments at the head, neck, shoulders, legs, knees, and ankles. The set offers three distinct display options: two arrangements place the mech and dragon atop the katana-pierced dragon skull, while the third positions them directly on a base, giving builders the freedom to choose their most dynamic display configuration.
This set also comes with four minifigures: Jin, Mira, Master Ivo, and an Oni Warrior. Master Ivo and the Oni Warrior are exclusive to this set, providing an additional draw for minifigure collectors.
• Two other sets from the same series, the "71870 Twin Titanium Mechs" ($139.99 USD, 1,707 pieces) and the "71872 Ultimate Dragon Battle" ($199.99 USD, 2,178 pieces), are also scheduled for release on August 1, 2026.
