Christopher Nolan's latest summer blockbuster, "The Odyssey," has undeniably become one of the most talked-about films recently. A frequent point of discussion among audiences revolves around the casting of Lupita Nyong'o as Helen, traditionally depicted as a white woman and renowned as the most beautiful woman in the world. Many critics have slammed this decision as a move toward political correctness, even vowing to boycott the film.

Despite the backlash, Lupita Nyong'o's co-stars have expressed nothing but admiration for her performance. Jon Bernthal, who portrays Menelaus, the Spartan King and Helen's husband in "The Odyssey," is one of Nyong'o's primary scene partners. In a recent interview with the renowned entertainment news site DiscussingFilm, Bernthal effusively praised his co-star, stating, "For me, no one else in the world could play this role. She possesses both inner and outer beauty, enough to convince you."

Bernthal further noted that Nyong'o uniquely managed to navigate the complex relationship between Helen and Menelaus with limited screen time, expressing his delight at having her as his scene partner.
