Last October, director Karyn Kusama confirmed that Diablo Cody, the screenwriter for the cult horror-comedy "Jennifer's Body," had already begun developing a script for a sequel, a project fans had been clamoring for for years. Kusama praised the new material, calling it "fun and crazy like the first film." Now, nearly nine months later, "Jennifer's Body 2" is reportedly seeing significant new developments.

Horror news outlet Dread Central recently revealed exclusively that Megan Fox, one of the original film's stars, has officially committed to returning for the sequel. While Amanda Seyfried, the other lead, has not yet signed on, she is reportedly in talks to reprise her role. Cody and Kusama were already attached to their respective roles as writer and director for the project.
Additionally, Production Weekly, a site tracking film and TV production, recently stated that filming for the sequel is slated to begin this October. All signs indicate that "Jennifer's Body 2" is indeed moving forward.
