LEGO has officially unveiled the latest addition to its Sonic the Hedgehog lineup: the "77120 Shadow's Mech vs. G.U.N. Trooper" set. Scheduled for an August 1, 2026 release, this 374-piece set will retail for $49.99.
Shadow stands as one of the most popular rivals in the Sonic franchise, renowned as the "Ultimate Life Form." While his speed rivals Sonic's, he brings a distinctly dark and brooding presence. The set also features G.U.N. (Guardian Units of Nations), the military organization deeply entangled in Shadow's complex history. Their fated conflict was central to the plot of the "Shadow the Hedgehog" video game.
The centerpiece of this set is Shadow's signature red-and-black mech, which features posable arms, dual swords, and four shoulder-mounted stud shooters. The Shadow minifigure can either pilot the mech or hop on the included Dark Rider motorcycle. A key feature is the versatile Doom Wings, which can be attached to the mech or directly to Shadow's back for two distinct display options. Centered around the mission to protect and secure the Chaos Emeralds, the set also includes a G.U.N. Trooper and two Chaos Emerald elements, perfectly capturing the high-stakes confrontation between the two factions.
Also launching on August 1, 2026, is the "77119 Tails's Tornado" set ($29.99, 310 pieces). Collectors can grab both to complete their Sonic the Hedgehog summer wave lineup.
