Earlier this month, acclaimed entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider surprised many on his paid blog, The InSneider, by revealing that British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen had secretly completed filming a new sequel to his early breakout hit, "Ali G Indahouse." Just days later, Baron Cohen officially launched social media accounts under the guise of his iconic character, Ali G, and even appeared in character at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, sparking widespread speculation.

The activation of these social media accounts strongly hinted that the sequel rumors were true and that a promotional campaign was underway. Today, however, distributors Amazon and MGM Studios finally confirmed the existence of the second film, officially titled "Ali G: Who Iz I?" The movie is slated for a theatrical release on October 23rd in North America. This marks Baron Cohen's feature directorial debut, as he personally helmed the project without another director.
