Kenelephant Unveils "Victor Historical Miniature Collection Vol. 2" Capsule Toys, Featuring VHS VCR, Spherical TV, and Classic Nipper Dog!

Japanese toy company Kenelephant (ケンエレファント) is releasing a new capsule toy series based on classic Victor products, titled "Victor Historical Miniature Collection Vol. 2". This collection features the brand's iconic mascot, Nipper, alongside a retro boombox, a VHS VCR, and a space-age spherical television, making up a total of 4 items. The products will be available as both capsule toys and blind boxes, scheduled for release in Japan starting November 2026.

The Victor brand, owned by JVC KENWOOD, has left an indelible mark on the history of audio-visual equipment development in Japan with its many classic products. Kenelephant previously launched the first volume in 2021, miniaturizing iconic Showa-era machines like the "Magazine C-14RX" color TV, the "HR-3300" VHS VCR, and the "VideoMovie GR-C1" camcorder. Now, after a five-year hiatus, the second volume features another selection of products brimming with nostalgic charm and unique design, allowing collectors to continue building their palm-sized Victor audio-visual museum.

Leading the lineup is the familiar Nipper (ニッパー) dog, iconic to the Victor logo. The model captures his classic pose with a glossy finish reminiscent of ceramic. The RC-550 large portable boombox meticulously details the front panel's buttons, knobs, speakers, and handle. It also includes a miniature Victor-branded cassette tape that can be inserted into the unit. The "VHS VCR / HR-7100" also comes with a mini VHS tape, which can actually be inserted into the VCR, recreating the nostalgic experience of loading a tape into the machine.

The most eye-catching item is undoubtedly the spherical black-and-white television "Furifuri Q / 9T-11". Its rounded body and large dark screen, reminiscent of a sci-fi movie prop, are condensed into a miniature model standing approximately 4.8 cm tall. The model's circular base and antenna are crafted as separate parts. The screen part is also removable, allowing collectors to insert their own images or paper to customize the TV's display. Available in both orange and white body colors, it perfectly captures the unique space-age aesthetic of this retro appliance.
