Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced the latest addition to their popular "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series: "Kira Yamato (Orb Union Pilot Suit Ver.)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY." This new figure is slated for release in December 2026.
The protagonist, Kira Yamato, was originally a Coordinator living on the resource satellite Heliopolis. In C.E. 71, he was caught in ZAFT's Gundam theft operation, unexpectedly becoming the pilot of the Earth Alliance's secret weapon, the "Strike Gundam." His "Super Coordinator" abilities gradually awakened through countless battles, yet his aversion to the war and its immense sacrifices grew. He later decided to join the independent faction led by Lacus Clyne, becoming a pivotal figure in ending two major wars.
The "S.H.Figuarts Kira Yamato (Orb Union Pilot Suit Ver.)" features a brand-new sculpt, accurately recreating the Orb Union pilot suit seen in "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY." Standing approximately 14 cm tall, the figure boasts intricate detailing and enhanced articulation. Its range of motion is significantly improved compared to the previously released "COMPASS Pilot Suit" version, allowing for dynamic poses such as shooting and deep kneeling. Accessories include multiple interchangeable hand parts, four different face plates, a helmet, a helmet-specific face plate, a neck part for the helmet, and a pistol. These parts enable collectors to recreate various expressions, from a gentle smile to eyes tightly shut in shock, and even his iconic "SEED Mode" activation while piloting a mobile suit.
