Bandai's Gashapon brand is set to release the second wave of its adorable "Ultraman Nyan" capsule toy series, titled "Ultraman Nyan 2"! This collection features four charming characters: Ultraman Zero, Ultraman Belial, Ultraseven, and King Joe. Each capsule toy will retail for 400 JPY (tax included) and is scheduled to launch in the second week of August 2026.
The "Ultraman Nyan" series first wave previously transformed popular heroes and monsters like Ultraman, Ultraman Tiga, Baltan Seijin, and Zetton into fluffy feline figures. For this second installment, fans can look forward to Ultraseven and his son, Ultraman Zero, alongside Zero's arch-rival, Ultraman Belial, who appears in his iconic black and red design. Rounding out the lineup is King Joe, the formidable space robot that once gave Ultraseven a tough battle, making for a truly interesting character dynamic.
Each figure in the series stands approximately 5 cm tall, retaining the cats' plump bodies and sparkling large eyes, while seamlessly integrating each character's distinctive head, chest armor, and Color Timer into the design. Zero and Ultraseven are depicted with their front paws raised, revealing adorable pink toe beans. Belial, surprisingly, strikes a pose with his palms clasped together, creating an unexpected contrast. Even King Joe's prominent mechanical head has been charmingly reimagined to resemble a cute cat hood.
The figures feature a fluffy flocked finish on their bodies, with only the Color Timer sections of the Ultraman characters left unflocked, creating a soft, fur-like texture. Beyond the facial gear and patterns, intricate details like their paws and toe beans are also carefully sculpted. Displaying them alongside the first wave characters will allow collectors to assemble an entire Ultraman cat army – utterly devoid of menace and simply begging to be petted!
