Japanese model kit manufacturers Good Smile Company and Max Factory have announced the latest addition to their co-developed "PLAMATEA" character model kit series: "Shielder/Mash Kyrielight [Ortenaus]" from the popular mobile game "Fate/Grand Order." This new kit is slated for an April 2027 release and will be available in both a standard edition and a Black Barrel Edition, which can recreate the "Black Barrel" transformation.

The Reinforced Exoskeleton [Ortenaus] was originally an auxiliary piece of equipment used in the "Demi-Servant Project," designed to compensate for the abilities lacking in Demi-Servants after being rejected by Heroic Spirits. However, after repeated failures of the project and Mash being the sole surviving test subject, the armor was sealed away. It wasn't until the story entered Part 2, "Cosmos in the Lostbelt," when the Heroic Spirit Galahad departed from Mash's body, significantly reducing her abilities and preventing her from using Galahad's powers. Da Vinci then modified the [Ortenaus] armor, using mechanical power to supplement Mash's Shielder capabilities.

The "PLAMATEA Shielder/Mash Kyrielight [Ortenaus]" model kit has been redesigned based on her in-game illustrations, featuring multiple pre-colored parts and some pre-painted components. This allows for a highly accurate representation of the prototype image straight out of the box. Mash's appealing physique, the intricate details of her jet-black reinforced armor, and her impressively sized shield are all precisely recreated. Inheriting the articulation design from the figma series, the kit allows for dynamic poses, capturing her cool battle stances with the shield. Accessories include three interchangeable face plates: a "smiling face," a "shouting face," and a "grinning face." Additionally, interchangeable bangs parts are included to display her with or without her mask.

The more luxurious "Black Barrel Edition" includes all the contents of the standard version, plus the massive "Black Barrel" cannon barrel parts. This paradoxical construct, even larger than Mash herself, precisely recreates the Black Barrel's heat sinks, energy lines, and barrel details. With articulated mechanisms and some interchangeable parts, it can be displayed in its approximately 50 cm (20 inch) deployed state, allowing you to pose Mash in impressive firing scenes.
