Danish toy brand LEGO has released the "75452 BB-8 Astromech Droid" as part of its Star Wars series. This set recreates the popular droid from "STAR WARS: The Force Awakens," using 569 bricks to capture its iconic orange and white color scheme, spherical body, and hemispherical head. The product is already available, priced at $89.99 USD.
"BB-8" is a star droid from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," instantly recognizable for its spherical orange and white body and independently rotating head. In the film, BB-8 accompanied Finn and Rey on their adventures. Its design, first revealed before "The Force Awakens" premiered, captivated audiences worldwide, quickly making BB-8 one of the most beloved droid characters in "Star Wars" history.
This LEGO set faithfully recreates BB-8's most iconic rolling mechanism and incorporates two interactive features. As BB-8 rolls across a flat surface, its head automatically rotates in random directions, mimicking its on-screen movements of observing its surroundings while in motion. Beyond this dynamic feature, BB-8's spherical body also includes an opening hatch. When opened, it reveals the "Burner Arm" that famously gave Finn a thumbs-up in the movie.
