Bandai's GASHAPON division is set to release a new collection in its popular "Machibouke" (Waiting) capsule toy series, featuring the beloved national anime "Crayon Shin-chan." Titled "Crayon Shin-chan Machibouke 8: Pursuit of the Dark Tama Tama," this Gashapon series will be available for 300 JPY per play, with an anticipated release in late November 2026.
Following the sixth installment based on "Crayon Shin-chan: Great Adventure in Henderland" and the seventh installment themed after "Crayon Shin-chan: The Glorious Road to Yakiniku," the new "Crayon Shin-chan Machibouke 8" draws inspiration from the 1997 theatrical film "Crayon Shin-chan: Pursuit of the Dark Tama Tama." This collection features five adorable figures: Shin-chan, Himawari, and the highly popular "Tama Tama Brothers" from the movie—Rose, Violet, and Lemon. Each figure, standing approximately 2.7 to 4.5 cm tall, captures the characters in their signature waiting poses, meticulously recreating their on-screen designs and expressions of mild exasperation. Displayed together, they make an incredibly charming lineup!
