T-SPARK Reveals ZOIDS Adamas Machina Blade Liger with Ferocious Redesign and LED Laser Blades

T-SPARK, the high-end toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY, has officially announced the latest entry in its ADAMAS MACHINA completed die-cast model series: the "Blade Liger" from the iconic "Zoids" franchise, scheduled for release in late March 2027.

The RZ-028 Blade Liger is the successor to the Shield Liger, equipped with the unique "Organoid System" recovered from ancient ruins. This system dramatically enhances its mobility, allowing it to execute high-speed assault tactics with its signature "Laser Blades" to slice enemies in two. The shield generator in its mane offers superior defensive capabilities compared to the Shield Liger. Additionally, the Blade Liger can be outfitted with Attack Boosters, which can be deployed forward as beam cannons for ranged combat or backward to increase its thrust and mobility.

The "ADAMAS MACHINA Blade Liger" boasts an impressive total length of approximately 38 cm. This figure reinterprets the original design with meticulous detail, pursuing two core themes: "the articulation of a mechanical beast" and "the ecological structure of a ZOID." This approach gives the Blade Liger proportions and muscular armor contours more akin to a real-world feline. The entire head and surrounding mane have been sculpted with sharper lines, giving the Blade Liger an intensely feral appearance.

From its internal frame to its external armor and weaponry, the figure features a rich paint application and detailed markings. Metallic paints are used on mechanical details like the Laser Blades to create a realistic "metallic lifeform" texture. Furthermore, die-cast metal parts are used in the main frame on both sides of the torso and around the leg hydraulic rods, giving the model a substantial weight and a premium feel. The figure also includes LED light-up features in the head cockpit and the blades of the Laser Blades, which glow with an orange-yellow light. The Laser Blades remain fully articulated forward, backward, and side-to-side even when lit.

The "ADAMAS MACHINA Blade Liger" also features a highly flexible and articulated design. The head includes movable mane pieces and an opening cockpit and mouth, while the neck joint can bend up, down, forward, backward, and side-to-side to follow the head's movement. The spinal components are designed to flex with the waist, and the tail is constructed with a series of ball joints for natural, multi-directional posing. Each limb's compression cooling unit has an opening gimmick, and every joint from the legs and knees down to the individual claws is articulated, allowing for ferocious poses like roaring and intimidation, just like a real big cat.

The Laser Blades mounted on its hips can be deployed to the sides for attack mode or pointed forward for firing mode. The boosters on its back also feature an expansion gimmick. Accessories include a dedicated display base, a "Zoids Core" that can be stored inside the chest cavity, and two pilot mini-figures that fit inside the cockpit.
