Chinese action figure brand ZEN Of Collectible (Zang Dao Model) is set to release the 15th entry in its original die-cast action figure series "Shen Gang Dao," the Peacock Vidyaraja. This impressive figure transforms the majestic imagery of the Peacock Vidyaraja into a heavily armored mecha design, standing approximately 28cm tall. Priced at 28,160 JPY (tax included), it is slated for release in August 2026.
The "Shen Gang Dao" series is ZEN Of Collectible's original mecha line, drawing design inspiration from the Vidyaraja (Wisdom Kings) found in Buddhist and Hindu mythology. Previous releases have featured mecha designs based on figures like Asura and Kundali, with each figure earning high praise from collectors for its die-cast construction and awe-inspiring, divine aesthetics. This new "Peacock Vidyaraja" figure is inspired by the Mahamayuri Vidyaraja from Esoteric Buddhism, revered for dispelling disasters and misfortunes. Its sacred peacock feather decorations, multiple ritual implements, and majestic goddess-like aura are fully translated into a futuristic mecha form.
The figure features a dark blue multi-layered armor as its primary body, accented with gold trim, blue inlays, and numerous pink translucent parts. Sharp, layered mechanical structures extend from its head crest and chest armor to its limbs, creating the image of a guardian mecha that is both mysterious and imposing. The back is equipped with a gigantic backpack featuring peacock feather-like effect parts. When fully deployed, it forms broad green wings, much like a peacock spreading its tail. The set also includes 8 backpack effect parts, which can be freely adjusted and arranged according to display needs, further enhancing its magnificent silhouette in full armament mode.
For weaponry, the set includes the ritual implement "Xizai" (Dispelling Disasters), which features a large green translucent blade, and the sharply designed "Kaifu Lianhua" (Blooming Lotus). Additionally, two animal-shaped mechanical ritual implements, "Modulongjia" and "Tulin," are included. These can be arranged around the figure or combined with the back armament to create a multi-armed guardian-like combat form. Coupled with connecting parts, 6 pairs of interchangeable hands, and a dedicated display stand, various dynamic poses can be recreated, such as dual-wielding swords, dashing slashes, and shoulder-carrying the sword. Whether wielding weapons individually or with its peacock wings fully deployed, the figure makes for a striking display.
