Japanese model maker Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced the latest addition to their "Sousai Shojo Teien" everyday-life bishojo model kit series: the "KiruPla Series Ema Koishikawa [St. Iris Girls' Academy High School - Winter Uniform]", slated for release in February 2027.
Ema Koishikawa, a student at St. Iris Girls' Academy High School, is a petite and adorable girl standing at just 140 cm tall, though she strongly dislikes being complimented for being "cute and small." With a moody and rather self-important personality, she's a "super fragile princess" who struggles with social interaction. Ema is passionate about games, anime, and tokusatsu, and her small stature makes her particularly drawn to giant, cool characters like monsters and robots. Her dream is to become a "god-tier illustrator."
The "Sousai Shojo Teien KiruPla Series" offers kits that combine a plastic assembly model girl body with fabric clothing. By utilizing fabric outfits that minimize articulation interference, the series fully unleashes the flexible posing potential of the body, allowing for a wider range of dynamic actions compared to standard kits. These figures can also be customized with outfits from the separately sold "Tiny Closet" dress series, enabling even more diverse looks. For this release, Ema Koishikawa's body is a modified version of the previously released "Dress-Up Body S." It features new lower abdomen parts with clothing details removed and molded in skin tone, along with adjusted hip and thigh shapes. The gaps have been widened to make posing and rotation easier.
Ema's head largely reuses the hairstyle and face sculpt from previous products. Her charming wavy long hair is composed of over ten precisely divided parts, and she can swap between various hair ornament parts, twin bun styles, and twin tail styles. Three pre-painted face parts are included for expression: a "smiling face," a "shouting face," and a "pouting face." Additionally, the kit comes with a wealth of accessories, including a HEXA GEAR smartphone (normal mode/gaming mode), multiple PVC hand sculpts, and interchangeable leg parts for over-knee socks, long socks, short socks, or no socks.
