Hong Kong-based action figure brand Sky X Studio has announced its latest officially licensed product from Japan's DYNAMIC: the "SXD-20 Mazin Emperor G" die-cast action figure. Pre-orders are now open, with an estimated release in October 2026 for HKD 1,898.
"Mazin Emperor G" is an original mecha from Bandai Namco's "Super Robot Wars" series, supervised by DYNAMIC, the official creator of the "Mazinger" franchise. It appears as the successor to Great Mazinger, featuring a power system enhanced by the evolving energy of "Getter Ray." Possessing strength capable of rivaling Mazinger ZERO, it stands as one of the most beloved original units from "Super Robot Wars V."
This figure faithfully recreates Mazin Emperor G's sharp yet imposing regal design, featuring a red and black mechanical body accented with gold armor. Parts of the mecha's armor are detachable, revealing intricate internal mechanical structures. When the burst armor mode is activated, a total of 12 light-up points illuminate across the chest, body, arms, and legs. The eyes also feature independent lighting effects, adding depth to both its standard appearance and internal mechanical displays.
Its arsenal includes two "Emperor Twin Blades," which can be combined using connector parts to form a massive weapon approximately 41cm in length. Also included is an "Emperor Great Sword" measuring about 35cm. The set further provides Crushing Punch accessories, Rocket Punch effects, Twin Blade effects, along with light-up Palm Flame and Chest Flame parts, allowing collectors to recreate dynamic attack scenes such as close-quarters slashes, flying punch launches, and chest energy bursts.
Back-mounted accessories include the "Emperor Wings," which can deploy into a twin-jet configuration, and "Cape Wings" that can be freely bent and posed, allowing the mecha to switch between flight gear and a regal cape appearance. The set also comes with an Emperor Pilder in both "Fire On" and flight modes, a miniature Tetsuya Tsurugi figure, multiple interchangeable hands, a dedicated display base, a stand, and a magnetic light-up switch, comprehensively covering all character, armament, and flight display needs.
In addition to the main figure set, Sky X Studio is also releasing the separately sold "SXD-20J Jet Scrander Set." This expansion includes interchangeable large wings, eye parts, and battle-damaged armor, further enhancing the display possibilities for Mazin Emperor G in combat.
