Bandai Spirits, part of Japan's Bandai Namco Group, has officially announced the latest DX transformation belt for the "Kamen Rider" series: the "DX MY-TH DRIVER", the main Rider's belt from the Reiwa Era's eighth installment, "Kamen Rider MY-TH". It is slated for release on September 5, 2026!
From the currently revealed information, "Kamen Rider MY-TH" centers on the "Twelve Zodiac Alliance", an organization of Riders who have long battled the man-eating monsters known as the "Mysterious Beings". A century ago, the Rider representing the Rat of the Zodiac was defeated by the Crimson Cat Rider Maou, losing their position. In the present day, protagonist Otozumi Sora transforms into Kamen Rider MY-TH using a brand-new Driver, fighting to protect those he cares about from the Mysterious Beings. Meanwhile, the "Twelve Zodiac Alliance," now led by Kamen Rider Maou, is secretly making its moves. A grand three-way battle involving Riders, Riders, and Monsters is about to unfold!
The "DX MY-TH DRIVER" is the first Driver in the series that can be freely worn on either the chest or the waist. Unlike the previous "ZEZTZ DRIVER", which focused on a return to original design principles, this new Driver boasts intricate mechanical detailing achieved through gear linkage. It also includes the series' signature LED light-up and sound effects. When worn on the chest, inserting the included "Ride Eggs 1" completes the transformation into "Kamen Rider MY-TH"! Pulling the upper and lower levers activates a special attack standby sound, and closing them again triggers the finisher sound effect! Other types of Ride Eggs can also be used to activate their unique sound effects. When worn on the waist, the Driver can be combined with the separately sold "Hammer Bone Buckle" and "Ride Eggs 1" to transform into "Kamen Rider Rid"!
