Japanese figure manufacturers Good Smile Company and Max Factory, co-developers of the character model kit series "PLAMATEA," have announced that illustrator toridamono's original character "MX-chan" is slated for release in April 2027.
MX-chan is an original character first unveiled by illustrator toridamono in 2020. She features an adorable face with prominent fangs, toridamono's signature voluptuous thighs, and a light, martial artist-inspired outfit, complete with a case for storing firearms. Shortly after her illustration debut, Max Factory began planning a scale figure, which was released to critical acclaim in 2023. Now, MX-chan is being re-released as a model kit. This isn't a simple re-release using the scale figure's original sculpt data; instead, the kit features a completely new design with intricate part separation and articulated joints.
The "PLAMATEA MX-chan" model kit is assembled from multi-colored molded parts. Her facial expressions, eyeballs, and some hand parts come pre-painted, allowing for a striking resemblance to toridamono's illustrations straight out of the box. Her signature voluptuous physique and outfit details are meticulously rendered with precise parts, complemented by flexible articulated joints that enable a wide range of sexy and adorable poses. Notably, her distinctive "thighs" are crafted from single, undivided molded parts, boasting a generous and full 2 cm width.
MX-chan's face features three interchangeable expression parts: a "smiling face," a "winking face," and a "disgusted face." Each expression incorporates articulated eyeballs, allowing for adjustable gaze angles to add even more nuance. Her portable gun case has been redesigned into a transforming weapon, measuring approximately 15 cm in length when stored. When transformed into its "railgun" form, it boasts an impressive 20 cm length, enabling dynamic battle poses like swinging and shooting.
