GOOD SMILE COMPANY's MECHA SMILE brand, known for its "THE GATTAI" series of completed transforming figures, has announced the latest addition to the line: the "Land Bison Option Set" from the classic robot anime "The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn," slated for release in May 2027.
The Land Braves – Da-Garn, Drill Lander, Sonic Bomber, and Turbo Lander – are brave warriors who have protected Earth since ancient times, each taking on the form of a modern land vehicle. Beyond their individual robot transformations, they can combine to form the massive land-combat robot, "Land Bison." In contrast to the aerial Sky Saber, Land Bison excels in ground and sea operations. While his rugged and powerful appearance suggests a close-quarters combat specialist, his true strength lies in various ranged weaponry. Upon his debut, he famously used his back-mounted Land Cannon to fire at a thrown shield, precisely ricocheting shots to take down enemy machines.
The "THE GATTAI Land Bison Option Set" includes Da-Garn's dedicated trailer, a non-transforming torso part, the Land Bison Shield, and other accessories. This set is designed to expand playability with the separately sold "THE GATTAI Land Bison." The Land Bison Shield can be directly equipped by Land Bison, while the non-transforming torso can replace Land Bison's original torso, introducing a new waist articulation mechanism that significantly broadens Land Bison's range of motion.
Da-Garn's dedicated trailer boasts an impressive length of approximately 37.5 cm. It can connect with Da-Garn in its vehicle mode and store all of Land Bison's included accessories, with the exception of the non-transforming torso and Land Bison Shield. Furthermore, it can carry the three other Land Braves. The trailer features a ramp deployment mechanism, allowing collectors to recreate dynamic scenes of the units rolling out. By extending its jacks, the trailer can also stand vertically and connect to Land Bison's back. Additionally, the trailer incorporates an original toy gimmick, enabling the Land Braves' weaponry to be mounted on its exterior for enhanced display options.
