Good Smile Company's MECHA SMILE division is expanding its "MODEROID" model kit series with a brand-new release from the classic mecha film "Pacific Rim": the "MODEROID Gipsy Danger," slated for a May 2027 launch!
The Gipsy Danger, a third-generation Jaeger built by the United States, is a pivotal machine from the iconic film "Pacific Rim." Piloted by protagonists Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori, this balanced close-combat unit is powered by a nuclear vortex turbine and features a neural-link dual-pilot system. Its primary armaments include two "Plasma Casters" concealed in its forearms, complemented by the later-added retractable "Chain Swords."
Standing approximately 21 cm tall, the "MODEROID Gipsy Danger" boasts a fully articulated body, allowing for dynamic poses, including its signature crouching stance from the film. The armor's intricate details are faithfully reproduced using pre-colored plastic parts, showcasing impressive inner mechanisms between armor panels and sharp surface engravings. The visor, chest, and Plasma Casters are all rendered with clear parts. The kit includes multiple interchangeable hand parts, and its weaponry can be recreated via swap-out pieces for both the forearm-mounted "Plasma Casters" and the "Chain Swords." The Chain Swords come in two distinct forms, allowing collectors to display them in either their deployed or retracted states. Furthermore, two types of clear parts are included – pre-painted and unpainted – offering customization options. Combined with the various pre-colored parts, pre-painted components, and water-slide decals, the assembled model will closely resemble its on-screen appearance!
