Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY's high-speed battling top series, "BEYBLADE X," is collaborating with Futa Kimura's popular manga "Rewinder of Fate" (original title: 運命の巻戻士) to release the limited edition Clock Mirage 4-55S Metal Coat: Black "Rewinder of Fate" Ver.! This exclusive item will be available via a paid application service for all applicants through the September 2026 issue of "CoroCoro Comic," priced at 2,600 JPY.
"Rewinder of Fate" follows protagonist Chrono as he joins the special temporal police force, the "Rewinders." Using the "Retry Eye" time machine implanted in his right eye, he repeatedly travels back to the past, attempting to save those destined for death. The series is currently serialized in "CoroCoro Comic" and holds a record of 12 consecutive months at the top of the magazine's reader popularity polls. An anime adaptation, produced by BONES FILM, is also confirmed and is slated to air in Japan in April 2027.
This collaboration utilizes the "Clock Mirage," known for its exceptional stamina, as its base. The circular metal silhouette, composed of 60 blades, is finished with a black Metal Coat. Inside, it features transparent blue parts and striking yellow details, echoing Chrono and the series' theme of "rewinding time." The specifications have been changed from the standard Clock Mirage 9-65B to the limited "4-55S" combination, which includes a lower-profile 4-55 Ratchet and an S Bit. A "Rewinder of Fate" themed emblem is also incorporated into the center, giving it a unique appearance distinct from the original three color variations.
The official announcement emphasizes that this project is neither a free magazine supplement nor a lottery prize. Instead, interested parties must purchase the physical September 2026 issue of "CoroCoro Comic," expected to be released around August 12, 2026, and then use the included special postcard to submit a paid application. Each postcard allows for one application, and each individual is limited to purchasing one item. The 2,600 JPY fee covers the product, tax, domestic shipping within Japan, and handling fees. International shipping is not available for this product. Players outside Japan will need to find reliable proxy buyers or forwarding services to acquire it.
