Hong Kong toy brand threezero has unveiled the latest color prototype for "Forte" from the "Mega Man" series, joining their small-scale mecha action figure line, "MDLX"! Following its initial reveal as an unpainted prototype, this figure is now making its Japanese debut as a painted sample at the "Mecha Exhibition 2026" in Osaka, officially showcasing its classic black and purple armor.
Forte first appeared in 1995's "Mega Man 7," a combat robot created by Dr. Wily using the newly discovered high-energy substance, "Forte Energy." Arrogant and battle-hungry, he is determined to prove himself the strongest robot in the world, challenging Mega Man on numerous occasions. He is also accompanied by his wolf-type support robot, Gospel, who can combine with him for enhanced power, making Forte one of the "Mega Man" series' most iconic rivals.
The "MDLX Forte" unpainted prototype previously made its Japanese debut at Winter Wonder Festival 2026, followed by an appearance at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. This latest color sample finally showcases Forte's iconic black and deep purple armor, complemented by yellow head accents, red eyes, and intricate chest details. His massive shoulder pads and arm energy cannons further emphasize his formidable, bulky silhouette. The figure incorporates the MDLX series' signature mechanical panel lines and segmented armor, preserving the character's classic game design while imbuing it with a more modern sense of mechanical density.
threezero has yet to release full product details for "MDLX Forte," including its size, articulation points, accessories, estimated price, and release date. For now, only the color development sample has been confirmed for display at the venue. Whether Forte's signature support robot, Gospel, will be included with the product and if their combined enhanced form can be recreated remains to be seen, awaiting official announcements!
