Marvel Comics has announced a major expansion of its Compact Comics line, compiling essential "Spider-Verse" and the all-new "Ultimate Universe" titles into more portable and affordable collected editions, with releases scheduled to begin in 2027.
The initial wave will launch on March 17, 2027, featuring two "Spider-Verse" themed collections: "Spider-Gwen: The Radioactive Spider-Woman" and "Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man."
Marvel stated that these two volumes will re-collect the early adventures of Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen, complete with new covers by Marcos Martin, making the origins of these two fan-favorite "Spider-Verse" characters more accessible to readers.
Following this, Marvel will introduce a series of compact collections for the first year of the new "Ultimate Universe," under the banner "Fix the World Year One." "Ultimate Spider-Man" and "Ultimates" are set to debut on April 14, 2027, each collecting the first 12 issues of their respective 2024 series. "Ultimate X-Men" is then slated for release on June 9, with "Ultimate Black Panther" arriving on June 23.
