Chinese emerging figure brand LADoTOYS recently announced on their official Weibo that they will be releasing a new line of 1/12 scale collectible action figures based on the "Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphic Project" (ウルトラ怪獣擬人化計画), a spin-off initiative from the classic tokusatsu series "Ultraman" (ウルトラマン). The "Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphic Project" (ウルトラ怪獣擬人化計画) was a special initiative launched by Tsuburaya Productions in 2013 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ultraman series. The core concept involved reimagining the iconic monsters from the Ultraman universe as cute bishōjo girls. This popular concept subsequently expanded into various media, including manga, novels, anime, games, and figures. Following the broadcast of the "SSSS.GRIDMAN" anime, some kaiju from the Gridman series were also integrated into the Kaiju Girls lineup.
The Ultra Kaiju Anthropomorphic Project largely ceased updates around 2020, so the return of official merchandise after several years is sure to excite many fans.
