Shi initially had no idea he had purchased "Spider-Man's house." It wasn't until he started consistently receiving letters addressed to Spider-Man that he realized the property held special significance among Marvel fans.
Shi stated that fans frequently come to take photos outside his home, and he generally doesn't stop them, often agreeing if asked. He mentioned feeling "a little bit of responsibility," believing that since Spider-Man embodies a certain American spirit, living there means he should respond to people in a similar way. Most of the letters he receives are from children, with some inviting Spider-Man to birthday parties and others hoping he'll come over to watch TV.
The address is currently marked as a Spider-Man landmark on Google Maps, though the front of the house has been blurred on the online map. Unlike the "Breaking Bad" house, where Walter White's residence was reportedly sold due to tourist disturbances, Shi's friendly response to fans adds a layer of warmth to this real-life Spider-Man address.
