The narrative is positioned as a culmination of Kelly and Larraz's run and a pivotal turning point for the next phase of Spider-Man's saga. Peter Parker will confront his deepest fears and face Ravage, a new antagonist described as one of the most terrifying villains in decades. Speculation suggests this character might be connected to a future character named Ravage, co-created by Stan Lee.
In an interview with ComicBook, Kelly urged readers to be fully prepared for Ravage, stating that the team designed the villain to terrify, enrage, and torment Peter Parker to his fullest potential.
