US-based collectible manufacturer Sideshow Collectibles has announced a new Pokémon-themed product: the "Snorlax" diorama statue. Priced at $695, it is expected to ship in November 2027.
This Snorlax diorama statue measures approximately 33 cm tall, 34.6 cm wide, and 48.3 cm deep. It depicts an adorable scene of Snorlax and its friends enjoying snacks and napping by a pond under a lush, sprawling tree. Snorlax, Eevee, Pikachu, and Slowpoke are all comfortably fast asleep, while Skwovet, Greedent, Munchlax, and Gulpin happily share a bountiful spread of Oran Berries, Sitrus Berries, Persim Berries, and Pecha Berries nearby. Look closely, and you might even spot Applin and Sewaddle hiding in the tree and right next to Snorlax!
Crafted from polystone, the statue features meticulously sculpted details, faithfully recreating the trees, grass, soil, and rocks within the scene. The pond where Slowpoke sleeps is rendered with a translucent material, giving it a realistic water texture. The paint application uses flat colors to accurately capture the Pokémon's animated appearances, and combined with their rounded body shapes, the entire piece is incredibly pleasing to the eye. The rich composition, paired with the realistically painted base, allows for a full 360-degree appreciation of this heartwarming and therapeutic scene – a truly delightful experience!
