BANDAI SPIRITS' prize figure brand BANPRESTO is set to release a new "Kyoko Sakura" figure, based on the highly anticipated upcoming movie sequel, "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-". The figure is slated for an August 25, 2026 release!
First airing in 2011, "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" became an instant sensation, sparking a decade-long trend of dark and gritty magical girl stories, and popularizing the now-classic "three-episode rule." "Walpurgisnacht: Rising" continues the narrative from its predecessor, "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Rebellion-", marking the franchise's first new theatrical release in nearly 13 years!
Standing approximately 20cm tall, this "Kyoko Sakura" figure showcases her brand-new design from the movie. While her costume retains much of its original flair, notable updates include puff sleeves, a subtly Chinese-inspired collar, and a wider, more voluminous skirt.
