Max's highly anticipated "Harry Potter" series reboot isn't set to premiere its first season until December 25th. However, production for Season 2 is already underway, and the cast roster has seen some changes. Over three months ago, child actor Gracie Cochrane, originally cast as Ginny Weasley for Season 1, exited the project, necessitating a recast. Today, news broke of another new addition to the Season 2 cast.

Esteemed entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman first broke the news on his Patreon page early this morning, reporting that Nicholas Hoult has joined the Season 2 cast. While Richtman initially didn't specify the role, HBO officials and various media outlets later confirmed that Hoult is set to portray the charismatic Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, a character previously played by Kenneth Branagh in the film series.
