Japanese toy giant TAKARA TOMY has officially unveiled the latest addition to its competitive BEYBLADE X line: the CX-19 Random Booster CrocTread Select, slated for a September 2026 release. This set features three distinct color variations of the new Beyblade, CrocTread TQ5-50GN: Gold/Green, Red/Blue, and Black/Red. Each box will contain one of these three versions at random. The product is priced at 1,600 JPY and is scheduled to launch in Japan on September 12, 2026.
Previously teased in magazine previews, the full details for the CrocTread TQ5-50GN—including its three color schemes and part configurations—have now been officially confirmed with the launch of TAKARA TOMY's product page. This new crocodile-themed Beyblade utilizes the CX Custom System, which allows for detailed Blade customization. Its Blade is composed of several parts, including a crocodile emblem, an Over Blade T, and an Under Blade Q. Despite the aggressive imagery of a crocodile, this Bey is designed as a Defense-type, built to withstand heavy impacts.
The official stats for the CrocTread TQ Blade are Attack: 15, Defense: 67, and Stamina: 18. Its design features a series of blades adept at dispersing impacts from all directions. This is paired with the new low-profile "5-50" Ratchet, giving the Bey a low center of gravity to better withstand fierce attacks. The Bit is the all-new "GN (Gear Needle)," which combines a central needle-like tip with an outer gear structure. This design ensures stability during defense while also enabling dynamic movement when it engages the stadium's Xtreme Line.
This Random Booster set comes in three versions: a gold Blade with dark green parts, a red Blade with blue parts, and a black Blade with red parts. It's important to note that these are not different part combinations; all three versions feature the exact same CrocTread TQ5-50GN configuration. This means that regardless of which color you pull, you'll receive the complete new Blade, 5-50 Ratchet, and GN Bit. However, collectors hoping to get all three crocodile colorways will have to test their luck with the random-pack system.
