Pokémon Shanghai has released Wave 2 of its Pokémon Card Game Card Illustration Figure Collection, marketed in China under the name “Dream Painting” (绘梦点睛). The new Water-Type Pokémon Figure Set continues the series’ concept of transforming Pokémon TCG illustrations into three-dimensional collectibles. Inspired by Water-type Pokémon found in ponds, lakes and oceans, the assortment features 12 standard designs and one secret design. Each box contains one random Pokémon figure, its corresponding card and two five-card booster packs from the Simplified Chinese expansion Brilliant Fantasy (璀璨诡幻). Priced at RMB 88, the set was released on April 24, 2026.
Following the first wave, Wave 2 recreates more than just the Pokémon themselves, translating the original card illustrations’ colors, brushwork and environmental details into three-dimensional form. The 12 standard designs feature Squirtle, Poliwag, Slowbro, Shellder, Goldeen, Starmie, Corphish, Luvdisc, Golisopod, Cramorant, Wugtrio and Palafin, capturing Water-type Pokémon in a variety of aquatic settings.
Each figure comes with a Pokémon card featuring the corresponding artwork and can be displayed alongside it on the included stand. All 12 standard designs are produced in equal quantities, while the collection also includes one secret design. The announced production ratio between the standard figures and the secret figure is 143:1. The secret design features Wailord together with an exclusive illustration foil card. Its composition stretches from the colorful depths of the ocean toward the surface, emphasizing Wailord’s immense scale and making it the most imposing collectible in Wave 2.
Each box also includes two five-card Brilliant Fantasy booster packs, giving collectors more cards to open alongside the figure and its matching card. The illustration foil card included with the secret Wailord figure carries Regulation Mark I and is eligible for use in applicable official Pokémon TCG events in mainland China under the current format.
