Japanese statue maker Prime 1 Studio expands its Real Elite Masterline series with a new piece from "The Last of Us Part I": the Bloater Ultimate Bonus Version. Inspired by the gym battle from Chapter 4, "Bill's Town," the statue recreates the terrifying moment when Joel and Ellie encounter a Bloater. The imposing infected and its grotesque, fungus-covered body have been brought to life in massive 1/4 scale. Priced at 409,090 yen including tax, the Ultimate Bonus Version is now available for preorder and is scheduled to ship between December 2027 and March 2028.
The Bloater represents one of the most advanced stages of infection in "The Last of Us." Thick fungal growths cover its entire body, creating a layer of natural armor and making it one of the game’s most dangerous enemies. The statue captures the creature in a lumbering, slightly swaying stance that emphasizes its overwhelming size. Dense fungal tissue engulfs its head, while its exposed teeth, bloodied details, and fungus-plated body are rendered with meticulous sculpting. Layered shades of pink and green complete the infected’s uniquely disturbing appearance.
The display base draws directly from the game’s gym battle, extending the ruined atmosphere of the post-apocalyptic setting around the statue. The Ultimate Bonus Version also includes a door backdrop with integrated LED lighting. Positioned behind the Bloater, it heightens the claustrophobic tension of Joel and Ellie coming face-to-face with the creature.
The Ultimate Bonus Version also comes with a damaged head and a dedicated head display stand. Flying chunks of flesh, ruptured fungal tissue, and a gaping mouth capture the brutal aftermath of the battle. With the damaged head attached, the statue stands approximately 65 cm tall. This edition is limited to 350 pieces and can be displayed alongside the companion Joel and Ellie statues to recreate the game’s unforgettable showdown.
