Chinese model brand CCStoys is set to release the latest addition to its "Light Trail" die-cast action figure series from the "Ultraman" franchise: "Ultraman Z Alpha Edge." This highly anticipated figure is scheduled for release in Q4 2026!
Ultraman Z hails from the Seiun Award-winning series "Ultraman Z" (ウルトラマンZ). He claims to be the apprentice of Ultraman Zero, a hot-blooded and driven hero, though still green, described by Zero as "one-third of a rookie." After arriving on Earth, he merges with Haruki Natsukawa, a GAF (Global Allied Forces) STORAGE member on the brink of death. Alpha Edge is the first form to appear in the series, transforming using the Ultraman Medals of Zero, Seven, and Leo. It's a well-balanced close-combat form, with the transformation phrase: "Cosmic Fist, Secret Technique!" His fighting style primarily involves martial arts with a few beam attacks.
The "Light Trail Ultraman Z Alpha Edge" stands approximately 19.5 cm tall and weighs 167g. It meticulously recreates Alpha Edge's intricate design, which fuses elements from three senior Ultramen, along with its signature red, blue, and silver color scheme. The figure features the series' hallmark internal die-cast joints, with metal parts in the feet to ensure stable posing. For the first time in the series, the hip section utilizes soft plastic parts, promising a significant improvement in articulation! Both the head and chest timer boast magnetically controlled LED light-up features, with the chest timer capable of switching between blue and red lights. A rich array of accessories is included, such as multiple interchangeable hand parts, the "Zestium Beam" effect, the "Zestium Ray Gun," and the "Alpha Chain Blade with connecting effects," perfectly capturing the essence of his Cosmic Fist fighting style!
