Japanese toy company Maruka has announced a brand new Disney assembly model, the "Mickey 3 in 1 Model 30cm." This kit reinterprets the classic Mickey Mouse as a large, highly posable mechanical figure. Standing approximately 30cm tall when completed, it allows collectors to swap parts to create three distinct styles: "Modern," "Classic," and "Cyber." The model is priced at 8,580 JPY (tax included) and is slated for an August 2026 release.
Manufactured by Sluban, this model utilizes a kit-like assembly method, allowing fans to build the Mickey Mouse figure themselves by combining various parts. The head, hands, and feet are all fully articulated, and even the fingers feature posable joints. This extensive articulation enables the 30cm figure to strike dynamic poses beyond just standing, adapting to each of its three unique styles.
The standout feature is its ability to switch between three distinct appearances. In addition to the "Modern" and "Classic" styles, which closely resemble Mickey's familiar look, collectors can also assemble a "Cyber" version, complete with mechanical structures and a futuristic aesthetic. A special gimmick allows the eyes to light up when the tail part is brought close to the figure's back. The lights automatically turn off after approximately one minute, offering dramatically different visual effects from a single model kit.
The same series will also simultaneously release the "Donald Duck 3 in 1 Model 30cm," which similarly features three swappable styles and full articulation.
