Bandai Gashapon, the popular capsule toy brand from Japan, has announced the latest addition to its beloved "Machibouke" (Waiting Impatiently) series. Titled "Machibouke Gundam no Baai 5" (Machibouke Gundam Vol. 5), this new lineup features Mobile Suit Gundam characters and is slated for release in December 2026.
The Bandai Gashapon "Machibouke" series is known for its adorable, chibi-style figures based on the theme of "waiting forever..." The line features a wide array of subjects, from animals and anthropomorphic objects to characters from popular franchises like "Kamen Rider" and "Gundam." Each figure captures its subject in a unique, waiting pose that blends their original style and personality, offering a charming glimpse into a side of these characters rarely seen.
The latest fifth installment, "Machibouke Gundam no Baai 5," will feature four iconic Mobile Suits. From the original "Mobile Suit Gundam," fans can look forward to the Zeon mobile suits Z'Gok and Gyan. Representing "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" are Gundam Barbatos Lupus and Landman Rodi. Each Mobile Suit is rendered in a charming chibi style, highlighting their distinctive head designs, body proportions, and colors. They are depicted in endearing, slightly pathetic waiting poses, as if patiently anticipating your arrival.
