Bandai’s Gashapon capsule toy brand has unveiled “Mobile Suit Gundam ROBOT SPIRITS Miniature Collection 2,” a new lineup inspired by the long-running Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. Priced at 500 yen per capsule, the collection is scheduled to launch in Japan in December 2026.
Released under BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectors’ brand, ROBOT SPIRITS is a line of finished robot action figures that combines ABS, PVC, and POM components to balance the rigid appearance of armor with articulation and durability. The development process pairs digital CAD modeling with hands-on refinement by professional sculptors, recreating the distinctive silhouettes of iconic robots with impressive accuracy. Since its debut in 2008, the series has featured machines from numerous anime properties, with mobile suits from the Gundam franchise remaining one of its signature offerings.
“Mobile Suit Gundam ROBOT SPIRITS Miniature Collection 2” recreates popular ROBOT SPIRITS releases as tiny collectibles—retail packaging and all. Following the first collection, which included the RX-78-2 Gundam and Char’s Zaku II, this second wave introduces the Strike Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E. and Aegis Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E., piloted by Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The lineup is rounded out by two fan-favorite Zeon mobile suits from the original Mobile Suit Gundam: the Gouf ver. A.N.I.M.E. and Char’s Z’Gok ver. A.N.I.M.E.

2. ROBOT SPIRITS Aegis Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E.
Despite measuring just approximately 4.1 cm tall, each miniature box uses high-resolution printing to reproduce the text, logos, and artwork across all six sides of the original packaging. The figure can be viewed through the front window, while the box can also be opened to remove the inner blister tray and display the miniature separately. Each non-articulated figure is modeled after its full-size ROBOT SPIRITS counterpart and features detailed color decoration. Weapons and other components too small to reproduce as separate parts are represented with printed graphics.
3. ROBOT SPIRITS Gouf ver. A.N.I.M.E.
4. ROBOT SPIRITS Char’s Z’Gok ver. A.N.I.M.E.
