Japanese collectibles company BANDAI SPIRITS, under its prize figure brand BANPRESTO, has released its latest amusement prize item from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam UC: the "Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bust Sensor Light - Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee (Destroy Mode)", available across arcade centers starting August 6, 2026.
The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee is the sister unit to the Unicorn Gundam, developed and tested under gravity conditions on Earth. Its design motif is inspired by the "Lion," the companion beast featured in the famous tapestry The Lady and the Unicorn. Incorporating spatial mobility feedback from Unit 1, the Banshee delivers superior atmospheric mobility. While virtually identical in core performance to Unit 1 in the original novel, the animated OVA adaptation equipped the suit with various specialized "Armed Armor" modules, significantly boosting its melee, ranged, and psychomu capabilities.
Standing approximately 16 cm tall, the "Bust Sensor Light - Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee (Destroy Mode)" captures the mobile suit in its fearsome Destroy Mode form. Utilizing translucent orange parts and metallic gold paintwork, it faithfully recreates the iconic dark navy armor and vibrant Psycho-Frame glow. Inside the bust lies a motion sensor and LED light mechanism—waving your hand in front of the sensor triggers the built-in LEDs, illuminating the Psycho-Frame just like in the anime.
