Spider-Man: Brand New Day has become a global phenomenon, passing the $2 billion mark at the worldwide box office. Distributor Sony Pictures, producer Marvel Studios and Marvel’s parent company, Disney, all stand to reap enormous rewards from the blockbuster. But what about its cast? As the face of the franchise, Tom Holland almost certainly negotiated a contract that included bonuses tied to the film’s box-office performance, and a new report has now revealed how much he could ultimately earn.

According to multiple sources familiar with Holland’s deal who spoke exclusively to TheWrap, the actor received an upfront salary of at least $20 million for the film—$10 million more than his reported base pay for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Once his backend bonuses are included, his total earnings could exceed $100 million. One source stressed that Holland’s participation is uncapped, meaning there is no ceiling on his eventual payday: the more money the movie earns, the larger his share will become.
Holland’s reported Marvel salaries illustrate just how dramatically his value has risen. He earned only $250,000 for his first appearance as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, followed by a $500,000 base salary for his first solo outing, Spider-Man: Homecoming. His reported pay then climbed to $4 million for Spider-Man: Far From Home and $10 million for Spider-Man: No Way Home. As Holland’s profile and importance to the franchise have continued to grow, so has his earning power.
