LEGO has officially announced its latest DC Sets for Adults display model: the 76355 "Batman Returns™ Batmobile™"! Inspired by the classic 1992 film Batman Returns starring Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight, this 2,269-piece set faithfully recreates the iconic elongated silhouette of the legendary vehicle. For the very first time in a LEGO Batmobile model, it incorporates a functioning Batmissile transformation mechanism. Priced at $229.99 USD, it is set to hit shelves on September 4, 2026.
In addition to capturing the Batmobile's rounded turbine intake, sleek hood, and muscular curved wheel arches, the set features a dramatic core function: pressing a button above the rear exhaust causes both side body panels to release and slide away, revealing the sleek Batmissile escape vehicle hidden inside! By attaching the included extra pieces, the Batmissile can be showcased as a standalone display piece. The canopy slides smoothly forward to grant access to a detailed cockpit outfitted with a steering wheel and instrument control panels.
The set also includes an exclusive Batman minifigure alongside a dedicated display stand emblazoned with the Batman Returns movie logo. The minifigure debuts a newly molded cape piece that elegantly wraps around Batman's shoulders. Collectors can choose to display the vehicle as the full, imposing Batmobile or in its sleek, detached Batmissile form, bringing this rare cinematic transformation straight into their display cases.
