BHCPDII-Limited MG 1/100 Shin Musha Gundam [BHCPDII Color] Launches at THE GUNDAM BASE ANNEX

To mark the first anniversary of BHCPDII MUSEUM at BANDAI’s new Shizuoka model kit factory, as well as the opening of the new Gunpla store THE GUNDAM BASE ANNEX in BHCPDII MUSEUM, BANDAI SPIRITS’ Hobby Division has announced the commemorative limited-edition kit “MG 1/100 Shin Musha Gundam [BHCPDII Color]”. The kit is scheduled to go on sale at the new location on September 2, 2026.

Musha Gundam traces its roots back to the manga Plamo Kyoshiro, where protagonist Shiro Kyoda built it as an original 1/144-scale Gunpla. Based on Gundam Mk-II parts and boldly reworked with Sengoku-era armor motifs, the red-armored design quickly became one of the most recognizable samurai-style Gundam concepts. After the manga, the concept was reimagined as an SD character based on the RX-78-2 Gundam, eventually becoming a key figure in the SD Sengokuden line. The Shin Musha Gundam featured here is the real-proportioned original unit from the PlayStation 3 game Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, designed by Hajime Katoki based on the Musha Gundam image.

“MG 1/100 Shin Musha Gundam [BHCPDII Color]” is based on the previously released standard MG kit, with the full-body molding colors changed to a deep blue and white palette inspired by the design of THE GUNDAM BASE ANNEX in BHCPDII MUSEUM. Instead of the familiar crimson armor, this version gives Shin Musha Gundam a calmer, more industrial presence. The exposed piping parts across the armor also use BANDAI’s recent Real Metallic Gloss Injection molding technology, giving the parts a convincing metallic sheen straight from the runner.

The weapon loadout includes the tachi Nichirinmaru, spear Sankomaru, cannon Tanegashima, and naginata Denkoumaru, all signature armaments of Shin Musha Gundam. When not in use, the weapons can be stored on the waist scabbard or mounted on the back. The blade parts are finished with silver plating to recreate a sharpened metallic edge, while the kit’s articulation allows for dynamic action poses that capture the multi-weapon combat style seen in the game.
