To mark the first anniversary of the BHCPDII MUSEUM at BANDAI HOBBY CENTER’s new Shizuoka factory, as well as the opening of THE GUNDAM BASE ANNEX in BHCPDII MUSEUM, the limited ENTRY GRADE 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (Full Weapon Set) [BHCPDII Color] will be sold directly at the new store from September 2, 2026. Last year, this item was only available to visitors who applied for a BHCPDII MUSEUM factory tour.
First released in September 2020, the ENTRY GRADE 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam features runners arranged in assembly order from the head down to the feet, along with mostly hidden gates. Parts can be removed by hand without nippers, making the build both approachable and safe. Despite its low part count, the kit uses five molded colors, effective part separation and well-designed articulation to recreate the RX-78-2’s signature color scheme without paint. Its waist and leg articulation also make it an easy entry point for builders aged eight and up, including complete Gunpla beginners.
Based on the standard release, the ENTRY GRADE 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (Full Weapon Set) [BHCPDII Color] changes the kit’s molded colors to navy, white and dark gray to match the design of THE GUNDAM BASE ANNEX in BHCPDII MUSEUM. It also includes newly designed marking stickers featuring the BHCPDII logo.
The Full Weapon Set includes a Beam Rifle, Shield, Beam Saber, Hyper Bazooka, Beam Javelin and Gundam Hammer. The Shield is molded in light blue, navy and dark gray, while the Beam Saber comes with a clear beam effect part. The remaining weapons use a unified dark-gray finish, allowing builders to take advantage of the kit’s articulation for energetic battle poses.
