Director Brian Duffield, known for his work with 20th Century Studios on survival thrillers such as "Underwater" and "No One Will Save You," is set to release his latest film in the genre, "Whalefall," in just two months. Tonight, the studio unveiled a second trailer and a brand-new poster for the upcoming feature.
"Whalefall" is based on Daniel Kraus's 2023 novel of the same name. The story follows Jay Gardiner who, after his father's death, dives off the central California coast to find his father's remains. Tragically, he is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. Trapped inside the whale's belly, Jay has only an hour of oxygen left in his tank, and he slowly realizes that his father's valuable life lessons might be the key to his escape. The film is slated for an October 16 release.
