Inde Navarrette, who shot to stardom this year after starring in the critically acclaimed horror film "Obsession," which grossed nearly $500 million worldwide, has quickly become one of Hollywood's most sought-after rising stars. Marvel Studios, quick to act, has already signed her for the new "X-Men" reboot. However, according to gossip outlet Page Six, Navarrette reportedly had to decline other major blockbusters to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Page Six reported that Navarrette was initially in talks to join "Heat 2" as Charlene, the wife of Chris Shiherlis, a role set to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio. However, her commitment to the "X-Men" reboot meant she was unable to take on "Heat 2." In the original film, Charlene was portrayed by Ashley Judd (pictured above), while the role of Chris was played by the late Val Kilmer.
Page Six also mentioned that Navarrette recently turned down a $2.5 million offer to star in "Invertigo," an amusement park-themed horror film directed by Matthias Hoene, known for "The Warriors Gate."

However, another international outlet, Nexus Point News, added that Navarrette has not entirely exited discussions for "Heat 2." She may still have an opportunity to play a smaller role, Gabriella, while Australian actress Odessa Young (pictured above) is now reportedly being considered for Charlene. Additionally, Eiza González is rumored to be a candidate for another female role, Elisa.
Nexus Point News' information might be more accurate, suggesting Navarrette may never have been in serious contention for Charlene. This is because Ashley Judd, who played Charlene, is white, while Navarrette is of Mexican descent, making a significant racial difference for the same character in a sequel. Furthermore, "Heat 2" is slated to begin filming in November of this year, which would not conflict with "X-Men," scheduled to start next year. Therefore, it is unlikely she would have turned down "Heat 2" solely due to "X-Men."
