BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collector division has revealed a new ONE PIECE release, LUFFY's ARTCANVAS 1/8 -20th Anniversary-. Priced at ¥8,800, it is scheduled for an exclusive March 2027 release at ONE PIECE BASE SHOP on the fourth floor of Shinjuku Marui Honkan in Tokyo.
LUFFY's is a commemorative figure born from repeated design and development work, based on the straw-hatted figure used for the “I” in the logo. It has previously appeared as 1/20-scale blind-box figures and event exclusives. The new ARTCANVAS range treats the larger 1/8-scale LUFFY's body as a canvas, applying iconic ONE PIECE imagery—including full-color illustrations by creator Eiichiro Oda—to the sculptural form.
Standing approx. 21.5cm tall—one-eighth of Luffy's official 172cm height—the figure reworks the color illustration drawn to celebrate ONE PIECE’s 20th serialization anniversary in 2017 around the LUFFY's silhouette. Its graphics are applied via hydrographic printing, manually positioned by experienced craftspeople. While the front layout remains fixed, the hydrographic placement across the remaining surfaces is randomized, ensuring that no two pieces share exactly the same finish.
