Japanese company PLEX Inc., in collaboration with sofubi artists, has unveiled a new product for its "GODZILLA VINYL ART" (GVA) series, themed after "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah." The "Burning Godzilla (1995) Fukyo Burai Gokukō" sofubi figure by ODENZ is priced at 33,000 JPY and will be available for lottery purchase on Japan's Premium Bandai website from August 21, 2026, 12:00 PM JST to September 6, 2026, 11:00 PM JST, with an estimated shipping date of September 2026.
In the 1995 film "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," a volcanic eruption triggered by crustal shifts beneath an island released a massive amount of high-purity natural uranium. Molded from head to toe in glitter-infused vinyl, it features a vibrant gradient of purple, red, blue, green, and orange. The sculpt captures Burning Godzilla's distinctive form with a unique style and proportion. Metallic gold paintwork highlights the scorching effect emanating from his chest and eyes, as well as intricate details like his claws and teeth. Gloss black paint depicts the entwining flames.
