Model kit enthusiasts can look forward to a robust start to 2027, as BANDAI HOBBY is expected to unveil numerous new Gunpla from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, fresh additions to the original "30 MINUTES LABEL" lineup, and a diverse range of character model kits from the Figure-rise Standard series. The presentation will also feature new kits spanning various themes, including ACG (Anime, Comics, Games), Tokusatsu, and even dinosaurs.
Among the most anticipated reveals are the Gundam model kits tied to the next-generation Gundam initiative, the "RG Project". This multimedia universe features two new titles sharing a common worldview: the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO" and the game "GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT". Previously teased designs for their respective protagonist mobile suits, the "HG 1/144 Gundam ZERO" and "HG 1/144 Gundam Helix", are expected to be fully unveiled during this announcement.
